My band has a show on Friday. It's been since October since we played and I can't wait to hit the stage.
NY Cafe used to be my least favorite place to play. It probably had something to do with the fact that the bands had to use a floor jack to move a pool table to the side in order to have a place to play. Oh, and the owner's wife made us TURN DOWN once. It was the face she made when she non-verbally communicated her demand that did it. Let's hate her.
Anyway, they've since had a remodel (and hopefully a management change) and there's an actual "stage" (ok, a riser) for us to play on.
Anyway, I'm glad to have a gig. We've got some new songs, one that I sing so that'll be fun. Or horrible. Not sure which.
